Emails from Secretariat
We have been made aware that our emails to registrants in some institutions are not being received. This seems to be caused by an over-strict spam filter on some institutional email systems.
If you are expecting a reply from us, please (a) check your Junk mail folder or
(b) email us again and we will reply to you in a different way (e.g. to a different email address if you have one).
Authors of accepted orals for general Symposia and Poster Presentations have been notified by email. If you have not received your acceptance letter please contact the secretariat.

ePoster Guidelines
Basic poster presentation details
- File size: No larger than 50 MB
- Screen ratio: 4:3 or 16:19
- Screen sizes: 46" Samsung HD LCD screens will be situated around the venue. Delegates may also view on any personal web enabled device such as an iPhone, laptop or PDA.
- Slide length: No more than 4 slides is advised.
Helpful hints:
- Presenters should consider the style, colour and layout of their presentation.
- The posters will be presented on large 46" screens. It is, therefore, important that you keep small fonts to a minimum and formatting simple.
- Colour should be considered. Combinations such as black text on a blue background are hard to read for example.
- Easy-to-understand headings, pictures and even animations or movies to interact with your audience allow for greater engagement.
- Should you require assistance in constructing your poster, a one page PowerPoint template is available.
- There are zoom, scroll and next slide options for delegates viewing the poster.
- Posters and presentations may be accessed post-Congress should the committee allow this option to proceed. If you do not want this to happen, please inform us during the upload process.
- It is not necessary to include a title slide. There will be an icon with your poster name and title for delegates to choose when searching through the viewers.
- The poster viewing system has been designed for landscape format.
What is the process?
- Please contact our technical partner, Lucien Mark, if you haven't received your log-in details ibc2011@digitalposters.com.au and more information around this exciting program development. These details will allow you to access the provided web address where step-by-step instructions will be provided on how to upload your poster.
- Please ensure you do not close down the window when uploading your presentation. This will ensure that the full content of your file is received. A notification will inform you that the upload was successful.
- Once we receive your file, we will manually convert the file to PDF where it will be then uploaded onto our system for viewing on site.
- We will be available on site to assist you if there were any difficulties with your presentation such as embedded movies, broken links or issues in conversion.
We hope you agree that it provides a fantastic profile for you as a poster presenter and the poster presentations throughout the Congress.
If you have indicated that you wish to present a hard copy poster, please see the below guidelines:
Standard Hard Copy Poster Guidelines
For those using the traditional method, the dimensions of your posters should be no more than 0.95 metre wide and up to 1.2 metres high in portrait style only. Posters larger than this size will not be able to be displayed.
Set up and dismantle
Please review the program book once you are onsite to confirm your poster reference number. This number has also been provided above. Please display your poster by 0930 hours on Monday 25 July. Posters will need to remain displayed for the entire Congress. Adhesive material (Velcro) will be available from the Registration Desk where staff will provide a floor plan to enable you to find your poster board. Please note that there is a limited amount of adhesive material available per person.
Your poster will be disposed if it is not removed by the conclusion of the Congress.
If you wish to change your poster to an ePoster, please advise the Congress Secretariat immediately.
Should changes occur to your contact details or availability to provide your poster, please notify the Congress Secretariat immediately via info@ibc2011.com
